Peer Resources creates just change in our schools and communities through the leadership of young people supporting, training, and advocating for each other. I'm proud to a be a board member and supporter of youth leadership in the Bay.

Your support will allow low-income young people of color in our San Francisco public schools to see themselves as leaders, and build collective power across racial and social differences, in order to make long-lasting change in the community.

We train over 700 Peer Leaders annually, and they serve 14,000 peers across San Francisco schools; Peer Leaders reach 1 of every 4 public school student in the city. As a result, 3 of every 4 Peer Leader now see themselves as role models who can make real change. What's more, 55% of our alumni go into careers in education, continuing to give back to the next generation.

Can you imagine being a student during these unprecedented times? Economy shutdown. Schooling through an electronic device. No human contact. Your graduation, your prom, your big performance and the other ways you celebrate a major accomplishment has been canceled indefinitely.

These are social and academic milestones that define young adulthood for many years to come.

Our young people are undoubtedly resilient. Our Peer Leaders have adapted to fill the void created by the pandemic but it is more important now than ever that our students are not left to navigate this new normal alone.

We are uniting in online support for Peer Resources beginning December 1 and ending December 31. There’s no amount too small to participate and every dollar counts! If you choose to rally with a crew or be a captain of your own team, we will make sure your participation is as seamless as possible.

You may like to fly solo but maybe you’re down to grab a friend, grab a loved-one or a few loved ones to be part of our thirty-one day giving campaign.
