#PEERSGIVING2020

by San Francisco Peer Resources

Ophelia Williams

I know life isn’t fair! Some of our young people have to survive in bad situations and they don’t have many safe places to learn. I see myself in these young people and I support Peer Resources because it is built upon improving the social, economic and political conditions of those from our vulnerable communities. I’ve experienced firsthand how far a little boost and some positive attention can go and I want to do all I can to help others give to the youth who need the most.

Can you imagine being a student during these unprecedented times? Economy shutdown. Schooling through an electronic device. No human contact. Your graduation, your prom, your big performance and the other ways you celebrate a major accomplishment has been canceled indefinitely.

These are social and academic milestones that define young adulthood for many years to come.

Our young people are undoubtedly resilient. Our Peer Leaders have adapted to fill the void created by the pandemic but it is more important now than ever that our students are not left to navigate this new normal alone.

The power of Peer Resources is that we are committed!

Please support our 2020 Peers Giving season. You can make this season the best giving season yet.

We are uniting in online support for Peer Resources beginning December 1 and ending December 31. There’s no amount too small to participate and every dollar counts! If you choose to rally with a crew or be a captain of your own team, we will make sure your participation is as seamless as possible.

You may like to fly solo but maybe you’re down to grab a friend, grab a loved-one or a few loved ones to be part of our thirty-one day giving campaign.

Love it. Plan it. Do it. Change it.
